SPIELWARENMESSE 2024
PROJECT: STAND@SPIELWARENMESSE 2024
CLIENT (BRAND): MAGICBOX
AREA SIZE (M²): 100m²
LOCATION: NUREMBERG
Technical Requirements:
100m² with walls at a height of 2.5m
Meeting room and storage
Functionality as the main premise
Challenge:
The main challenge was to create a closed stand with private areas while complying with the fair’s visibility regulations.
Finding the balance between the client's need for privacy and the fair’s requirement for openness was key to ensuring client satisfaction.
The design of a fully integrated window, strategically placed, was one of the solutions to meet this goal.
Thumbs up for:
The Ikea-style design, where visitors are encouraged to walk through the entire stand and explore different areas. Each section showcases various product families, making the most of every square centimeter of printed fabric to visually communicate the experience of playing with Magicbox toys.
Thumbs down for:
The mistake of not removing the plastic covering the carpet immediately after assembly.
We recommend leaving the plastic on until the last moment, but unfortunately, on the opening day, we found an oil stain on the pink carpet.
Oil!!! We didn’t use any tools, and no one entered the stand, so we’re still puzzled about how it happened.
In the end, an Ultracut vinyl with heart-shaped designs minimized the issue, and everyone was happy.
Operational Tip:
We hired Schenker for the removal of empties, assuming they had the exclusive contract, like RESA at Fira Barcelona.
They came and took the empty pallets.
The problem arose when the client called to say the company that took our pallets wasn’t Schenker—it was Kuhne, and they had taken our items by mistake, as they had also hired the other company for their product pallet removal.
Conclusion: Be careful in Nuremberg—there are two logistics companies, and they’re not particularly concerned about taking the right pallet.
Interesting Facts:
The Nürburgring circuit is in Nuremberg 😊
